Our Place

When we decided to build a kennel, the very first thing we did was consult our veterinarian and local boarding facilities. We wanted professional input to do it right – right from the start.  They told us that the easier it is for us, the easier it will be for the dogs, so, we focused on cleanliness, comfort and room – the 3 key factors.

For the comfort of our friends, we put in-floor heat throughout the kennel.  Along with kennel decks, this eliminates the risk of arthritis or chills. We put in-floor drains in each kennel for easy clean up, allowing us to readily disinfect the kennels daily with a non-toxic cleaner. Then, we added auto feeders in every kennel to eliminate the possibility of contamination of their food or water.

Room to run was very important to our critters, so it became a priority to us. Every kennel has a six foot indoor run with a doggy door and access to a 12 foot outdoor run. The outdoor run has a roof over it with screens on either end to avoid too much sun exposure.

We have a separate room for mommies and babies to maintain healthy puppies -- and a specific area for anyone who might not feel well or may need some quiet, alone time. All day, every day, we play music (but not rock & roll!) to keep them calm and happy.   Each dog is let out daily in the play yard to run and be dogs  --  and to get their fill of love.

To further ensure their health, we set up regular monthly visits with our vet – just to check on them!

I feel we’ve covered all the bases for happy, healthy pets.  We love visitors, but, be prepared to sanitize your hands and remove your shoes before entering. You can never be too careful.  Unfortunately, no one is allowed in the puppy area (sorry). If you feel we have missed anything please feel free to email with ideas because we’re always striving to do the best with our babies -- and for our customers.

Thanks,

Dyanne & John
